I was born in Southport, Lancashire (as it was then) but moved to Leamington Spa, Warwickshire when I was young, however I'm still proud of my Northern roots!  I live with my wife and two cats (Lucy & Poppy), and we have 3 boys who have all left home, leaving us to enjoy our interest to travel the world without having to worry about leaving them behind! Having recently acquired a motorhome we also plan weekend escapes in the UK, as well as trips abroad when time permits.

Outside of work (when not travelling) I enjoy locking myself in my home recording studio to write, play and listen to music.  Having played drums from an early age I have played in several bands, and became the proud holder with one of the bands I played in of the most streamed tracks in Ireland when internet music first became a thing! This was in the mid-90s.

 I could talk for hours about the technicalities of recording and mastering, and musical gadgets, but sadly there are few people who have the same interest and who are prepared to listen to me excitable ramblings. I also attend gigs regularly with no particular genre of music as a preference - if I like it I'll go and see it live.

I also have a mild interest in football, following Chelsea for my sins! But of course its not as good as it used to be!
